The International Association of Machinists (IAM 751) has authorized a strike after rejecting the latest contract offer from Boeing. This is the first strike at Boeing in 16 years, with nearly 33,000 workers picketing. The workers' demands include increased pay and the restoration of traditional pension benefits.

BU Administration has continued to reject their proposals for a living wage, comprehensive healthcare, childcare subsidies, dental care and more.

On February 15th workers found out REI would be withholding merit raises from all union stores. Workers in Soho walked off the job on February 17th on an unfair labor practices strike.
